I’ve been working in theatre since the early 90s when I co-wrote and directed my first full-length musical at the Edinburgh Fringe. Entitled “Disgusting”, it told the story of a crazed cinema projectionist and a Cult of Rhyme and - despite a brief cast mutiny - it went down very well (“Delightfully demented…all preconceptions must be discarded” The Scotsman).

Since then, I have written music for many shows at London theatres such as Hampstead, Gate and Tricycle and I specialize in writing work for family audiences at dedicated children’s theatres like Unicorn, Polka and Little Angel.

In 2005 my musical “The Mouse Queen” (book co-written with Tim Kane) transferred from the tiny 100-seat Little Angel, off-Upper St, Islington to the 500-seat New Victory Theater off–Broadway, New York. Hurrah!
